Temperature Controllers

Panel- or field-mount controllers that use proportional-integral-derivative algorithms to continuously modulate output and hold a tight setpoint with minimal overshoot. Common on line heaters, reboilers, and reactor or process-skid loops.

Simple switching controllers that energize and de-energize an output at fixed setpoint and deadband. Used for basic heat-tracing, tank heating, and freeze-protection duties where precise control is not required.

Controllers housed in flameproof enclosures or built as intrinsically safe assemblies for Class I, Division 1/2 or ATEX/IECEx zones. Specified for wellsite, separator, and process-skid locations with flammable atmospheres.

Signal-conditioning devices that convert thermocouple or RTD input into a standardized 4-20 mA, HART, or fieldbus output for transmission to a DCS, PLC, or remote indicator. Available as head-mount, rail-mount, or field-mount units.

Sensors that generate a temperature-dependent millivolt signal from the junction of two dissimilar metals, supplied in calibrations such as Type J, K, T, and E. Suited to wide ranges and fast response in furnaces, heaters, and exhaust streams.

Resistance temperature detectors, typically 100-ohm platinum (Pt100), that measure temperature through a precise change in electrical resistance. Chosen for accuracy and stability in process measurement and custody-related loops.

Pressure-tight wells that isolate a sensor from the process fluid, allowing sensor removal without breaking process containment. Selected by flanged, threaded, or socket-weld connection and verified against flow-induced vibration.

Direct-reading local indicators including bimetal dial, gas-actuated (filled-system), and marine-rated thermometers for on-site visual readout. Used for local monitoring of tanks, piping, and equipment without electrical power.

Silicon-controlled-rectifier power units that proportion electrical power to resistive heating loads under control of a temperature controller. Provide smooth, contactless modulation for electric line heaters and tank heating elements.
