Hydraulic Liner Retention Systems
Systems that use a hydraulic cylinder or piston to clamp and release the liner against its seat, allowing liner changes without manually breaking threaded retainers. They reduce changeout time and the manual loads handled by crews.
Manual Threaded Liner Retainers
Threaded retainer rings or nuts that are torqued to clamp the liner between the cylinder head and seat. They are the traditional, lower-cost retention method on many triplex and duplex fluid ends.
Liner Clamps and Retainer Cages
Bolted clamp halves or cage assemblies that capture the liner flange and hold it axially against pump pressure. They distribute clamping load around the liner without a single threaded connection.
Liner Seats and Spacers
The seating ring and any spacer rings that the liner butts against at the back of the fluid-end bore, setting liner depth and providing a hard, replaceable bearing surface. They are matched to the liner size and pump module.
Liner Packing and Seals
The packing sets, O-rings, and gaskets that seal between the liner outside diameter and the fluid-end bore so pressurized drilling fluid does not bypass the liner. They are a routine wear item replaced at each liner change.
Front Cylinder Heads and Covers
The front-end head or cover that bolts to the fluid module and provides the axial clamping face that retains the liner. It is removed to access and change the liner and packing.
Liner Retention Fasteners and Studs
The studs, nuts, and bolts that secure cylinder heads, clamps, and retainers to the fluid end at rated torque. They are matched to the pump's working-pressure rating and load cycles.
