Two-Phase Separators

Cylindrical vessels mounted upright in which gas rises through a mist extractor while liquid drops to the bottom for level-controlled removal. Their small footprint and good liquid-surge handling suit lower liquid loads and applications where solids may settle out the bottom.

Vessels with a horizontal axis that provide a large gas-liquid interface and longer residence time across the liquid surface. They are preferred for high gas-to-liquid ratios and for streams requiring foam or frothy-fluid disengagement.

Compact two-phase separators sized to remove small amounts of entrained liquid from a predominantly gas stream. They protect downstream compressors, dehydrators, and burners from liquid slugs and carryover.

Two-phase units that combine coalescing filter elements with a separation section to capture fine liquid aerosols and solids that gravity and conventional mist extractors miss. They are used where very low liquid carryover is required, such as ahead of molecular-sieve or amine units.

Skid-mounted two-phase separators used to measure individual well gas and liquid production rates during well testing. They include metering on each outlet and are often rated for higher pressures encountered near the wellhead.

Large-volume two-phase separators installed at pipeline inlets to absorb intermittent liquid slugs and surges before steady gas-liquid separation. Configurations include vessel-type and finger (multiple-pipe) designs.

First-stage two-phase vessels that take raw wellstream and remove the bulk of the gas before downstream stabilization or further separation. They handle the widest range of flow and are typically the largest separator on a wellsite or battery.
