Tree Chokes

Chokes with a variable orifice that can be opened or closed in service to tune flow rate and pressure drop, using a handwheel, indicator, or actuator to position the trim. They allow operators to manage production without changing hardware.

Chokes that use a fixed-bore replaceable bean or orifice to set a constant restriction sized for a target rate. The flow area is changed only by physically swapping the bean, making them simple and robust for steady production.

Adjustable chokes that throttle flow with a tapered stem (needle) advancing into a matching seat. The fine, progressive control suits low-rate, gas, and metering applications requiring precise adjustment.

Chokes that meter flow by moving an external sleeve over a ported cage so flow passes through aligned openings. The multi-port cage design distributes wear and reduces erosion in high-velocity or sand-laden service.

Chokes installed directly on the Christmas tree or production wing to control the main produced stream from the well. They set the primary wellhead flowing pressure for the producing string.

Hard-faced internal components such as beans, stems, seats, sleeves, and cages made from tungsten carbide, ceramic, or stellite. These wear parts are sized to the application and replaced as erosion degrades flow control.

Adjustable chokes fitted with hydraulic, pneumatic, or electric actuators for remote or automated position control. They are used where operators adjust production from a control system or on unmanned facilities.
