Tubing Heads

The main flanged body that lands on the casing head and houses the tubing hanger; it carries the bottom-flange casing connection, an internal hanger bowl, side outlets, and a top flange for the tree or adapter.

A solid extended-neck hanger that threads onto the top of the tubing string and lands in the head bowl, sealing the annulus with elastomer or metal-to-metal seals; commonly used where precise tubing positioning and orientation are required.

A hanger that grips the tubing with slip segments and supports its weight by friction, allowing the tubing to be hung off at an arbitrary depth without a threaded connection to a hanger neck.

A crossover spool installed between the tubing head and the Christmas tree that adapts differing flange sizes, bore profiles, or pressure ratings and provides a secondary seal around the tubing hanger neck.

Replaceable secondary seal units that energize against the tubing hanger or tubing to isolate the annulus and contain wellbore pressure; available in elastomeric and metal-to-metal configurations.

The studded top flange and lockdown screw assemblies that retain the tubing hanger in the bowl and react upward production loads, preventing the hanger from being pushed up under pressure.

Flanged or threaded outlets and associated gate valves on the tubing head that provide access to the tubing-casing annulus for monitoring, bleed-off, or gas-lift and injection service.
