Wellhead Assemblies

The lowest component of the assembly, threaded or welded onto the surface casing, that supports subsequent casing strings and provides the base flange for the next spool. It includes outlets for monitoring or accessing the surface-casing annulus.

Intermediate flanged bodies stacked above the casing head that suspend an additional casing string via a casing hanger and seal off the annulus below. Each spool adds a level for an intermediate or production casing string.

The flanged body that lands the tubing hanger and supports the production tubing string, sealing the tubing-casing annulus. It forms the top of the casing/tubing support stack beneath the Christmas tree.

Slip-type or mandrel-type devices set inside a casing head or spool bowl that suspend the weight of a casing string and energize a seal against the body bore. They transfer axial casing load into the wellhead body.

Mandrel or wrap-around hangers landed in the tubing head that suspend the production tubing and seal the annulus, often providing pass-throughs for control lines or chemical injection. They locate and lock the tubing string at surface.

Unitized designs that combine several casing-support landing profiles into a single body to reduce stack height and nipple-up time. Multibowl and single-piece units allow casing strings to be landed without removing the BOP between sections.

Crossover components that connect bodies of differing flange sizes, bore sizes, or pressure ratings within the stack, or that adapt the tubing head to the Christmas tree. They preserve pressure integrity across mismatched interfaces.

Assemblies with a full-bore vertical access designed so drilling and running tools can pass through the installed wellhead. This permits continued drilling and casing operations without dismantling the surface equipment.
