Wellhead Housings

Housings welded directly to the outside diameter of the surface casing, with the weld forming the load-bearing and pressure-containing joint. Used where the casing is cut off at grade and a permanent welded foundation is preferred.

Housings made up onto casing using a buttress, line-pipe, or other API casing thread instead of a weld. Suited to lower-pressure wells and locations where field welding is impractical.

Housings that grip the casing with internal slips and seal against the casing OD with elastomeric or metal packoff elements, allowing attachment without welding or threading. Used to speed installation and accommodate casing that cannot be threaded.

Single-piece housings combining the functions of multiple casing heads and the tubing head into one body, reducing connection count and stack height. Common where rig time and leak-path reduction are priorities.

Housings configured as the lowest landing profile for the well, providing the load shoulder that supports inner casing hangers and ties the surface stack to the conductor or structural casing.

Housings fitted with one or two threaded or flanged side outlets that open into the casing annulus for pressure monitoring, fluid injection, or bleed-off. Outlets are typically valved or plugged.

High-strength housings designed to land at the seabed or mudline and support the subsea casing program, designed under API 17D in addition to API 6A. Built for external loads and remote (ROV) operation.
