Butterfly Valves

Resilient-seated valves in which the shaft passes through the center of the disc and a full elastomer or PTFE liner forms the seal, giving bidirectional bubble-tight shutoff at low pressure for water, utility, and corrosive media.

Valves whose shaft is offset from both the disc centerline and the pipe centerline so the seat cams away from the seal as it opens, reducing wear and extending the pressure and temperature range above that of concentric designs.

Metal-seated valves with a third, conical sealing geometry that achieves torque-seated, friction-free shutoff for zero leakage, used on higher-pressure hydrocarbon, steam, and high-temperature process service per API 609 Category B.

Valves with a metal or laminated metal-graphite seat in place of an elastomer, selected for high temperature, abrasive or fire-safe duty where soft seats would degrade.

Valves with threaded lugs around the body so they bolt directly between flanges and allow downstream piping to be removed for dead-end or end-of-line service without disturbing the upstream side.

Valves clamped between two pipe flanges by the through-bolts, offering the lightest and lowest-cost installation for inline service where dead-end isolation is not required.

Throttling-duty butterfly valves fitted with a positioner and actuator and a disc profile characterized for modulating flow, used for flow and pressure regulation rather than on/off isolation.

Valves supplied with pneumatic, electric, or hydraulic quarter-turn actuators, often with limit switches and solenoids, for remote and automated operation in process and pipeline systems.
