Action Energy Company K.S.C.C. (AEC) is a leading Kuwaiti-owned upstream oilfield services provider originally established in 2013 as Action Drilling and Oil Maintenance Company and formally incorporated as a K.S.C.C. in 2015. The company serves Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) and other GCC operators from its headquarters in Kuwait City's Free Zone. AEC operates a modern fleet of 20 drilling and workover rigs ranging from 550 HP to 3,000 HP with a combined capacity of 20,600 HP covering shallow, medium, and deep onshore wells. Its Drilling & Workover division delivers full-cycle contract drilling from well planning through demobilization. The Upstream Services division offers coiled tubing, electric submersible pump (ESP) installation and overhaul, digital slickline, E-Line wireline logging, directional drilling, well cementing with in-house laboratory, drilling fluids engineering, OTSG steam generation for heavy-oil thermal recovery (SAGD/CSS), well completion, and mud logging. NDT and tubular inspection—including EMI drill pipe evaluation, BHA inspections, and OCTG assessment—are delivered through subsidiary Target NDT (established 2014). AEC also provides oilfield manpower staffing and a workshop for well control equipment repair, rig equipment refurbishment, and skid manufacturing. Listed on Boursa Kuwait's Premier Market in December 2025 under ticker ALFTAQA following a KD 55 million (USD 179 million) preference share issuance, AEC has grown from its initial two-rig KOC contract to cumulative contracts exceeding USD 200 million. Strategic partners include Helmerich & Payne, COSL, Kerui, KCA Deutag, CPVEN, and Jereh. Revenue was 20.82 million KWD in 2024, up 71.5% year-over-year. The company holds ISO, IADC, and Intertek certifications.
