Alsafwa Cement Company
Alsafwa Cement Company (ASCC) was established in 2007 in Jeddah in the western region of Saudi Arabia as a member of El Khayyat Group, the pioneers in building materials in the Kingdom. In February 2012, the company was strengthened through 50% participation by the General Pension Agency (PPA) and the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI). By mid-2016, Khayyat Group acquired Lafarge's shares, making the company 100% nationally owned. The company is the first cement company in Saudi Arabia to obtain environmental approvals for recycling industrial waste as alternative fuel.
