Baker Hughes Climate Technology Solutions (CTS) is a dedicated business segment of Baker Hughes Company (NASDAQ: BKR), the global energy technology company headquartered in Houston, Texas. Formerly part of the Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) segment, CTS focuses on delivering integrated technologies and solutions to help energy and industrial operators decarbonize operations and transition to a net-zero energy system. The division draws on Baker Hughes' legacy turbomachinery expertise — rooted in its historic Nuovo Pignone business (founded Florence, Italy, 1842) — alongside modern digital, sensing, and process technologies. CTS provides solutions across four primary pillars: Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage (CCUS); Hydrogen Technologies; Emissions Management; and Clean & Integrated Power. CCUS offerings include CO2 centrifugal compressor trains, turboexpanders, and the CarbonEdge digital platform — a Cordant-powered, risk-based end-to-end digital solution for CCUS operations providing real-time CO2 flow monitoring, regulatory reporting, and risk management from capture through subsurface storage. Hydrogen technologies include the NovaLT™ gas turbine family (capable of operating on up to 100% hydrogen), PCL centrifugal compressors, solid oxide and AEM electrolyzers, and hydrogen sensing and monitoring tools. Emissions management solutions include the Panametrics flare.IQ system, an ultrasonic flare flow measurement and analytics platform deployed at scale (e.g., 65 flares across seven regions for bp) to minimize methane slip and improve combustion efficiency. CTS also develops clean power solutions including integrated cogeneration systems and small-scale ammonia turbines (in partnership with Hanwha). With more than 1,200 engineers at its Florence R&D center and a global network of manufacturing sites and service centers, Baker Hughes CTS serves LNG, gas processing, petrochemical, hydrogen, and hard-to-abate industrial customers worldwide.
