Bridon American Corporation is the U.S. operating subsidiary of the Bridon-Bekaert Ropes Group (BBRG), a division of Belgian steel wire transformation leader NV Bekaert SA. Bridon is the world's leading manufacturer of high-performance steel wire and synthetic ropes, with a legacy spanning over 300 years in rope manufacturing. The company designs and manufactures precision-engineered ropes for demanding applications across oil and gas (offshore and onshore drilling lines, marine riser tensioner lines, offshore lifting, permanent mooring, anchor lines, A&R winch lines, subsea winches, life boat ropes), mining (shovel, dragline, and drum winder ropes), crane and industrial lifting, renewable energy (wind turbine installation vessels), and commercial fishing (trawl warps, purse wires). Product technology spans proprietary compacted and rotation-resistant constructions including Dyform, Diamond Blue, Constructex, Tiger, Endurance, and 50DB series ropes, complemented by Bexco synthetic mooring, towing and lifting ropes. U.S. operations are headquartered in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania with a manufacturing plant, an additional facility in Exeter, Pennsylvania, and a warehouse in Houston, Texas serving the Gulf Coast energy market. Bridon holds API Spec 9A licensing (license 9A-0058) for wire rope manufacturing to American Petroleum Institute specifications, and supports customers globally through its Ropes360 service platform offering installation, inspection, maintenance, training, and forensic rope analysis.
