Bridon (Hangzhou) Ropes Co., Ltd. is the primary Chinese manufacturing subsidiary of the Bridon-Bekaert Ropes Group, established in May 2008 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. It serves as Bridon's most important production investment in China, building a regional base for steel wire rope manufacturing serving the Asia Pacific market. The facility produces a broad range of steel wire ropes for ports, mining, oil and gas fields, fishing, and construction applications. As a subsidiary of Bridon-Bekaert, the Hangzhou plant benefits from over 300 years of combined rope manufacturing heritage, with Bridon brand origins dating to England in the late 19th century. The parent group, Bridon-Bekaert Ropes Group, operates 15 rope production plants worldwide with over 2,000 employees and more than $600 million in annual revenue. Bridon (Hangzhou) holds API Monogram certification under API 9A (Wire Rope), authorizing production of wire ropes meeting American Petroleum Institute standards for oilfield drilling and well servicing applications. Products manufactured in Hangzhou are exported globally, with documented shipments to the United States, Indonesia, Singapore, New Zealand, UAE, Australia, and the UK, supplying sister entities including Bridon American Corporation.
