DCG Machine, Inc. is a fully operational job shop founded in 1976 by David Grotheim, specializing in the precision machining of steel, aluminum, and stainless steel castings to customer specifications. Headquartered in White Oak, Texas, DCG occupies an 80,000 square foot facility with over 40 employees and more than 200 years of combined machining and fabrication experience. The company has manufactured BOP ram blocks since 1981 and became API 16A certified in October 2008 (API 16A-0219, Specification for Drill-Through Equipment). DCG specializes in a wide variety of Rams for Blowout Preventers (BOPs) in 7 1/16", 11 1/16", 13 5/8", 18 3/4", 21 1/4", 26 3/4", and 30" sizes — including Type U Rams, Variable Bore Rams, Shear Rams, and Replaceable Blade Shears rated from 3M to 15M high pressure service. Additional capabilities include fabrication of fixtures, jigs, and weldments; flow control valves; mining equipment replacement parts; fluid coupling repair; communication arrays with full parabolic machining; and trucking equipment replacement parts. The shop serves customers from prototyping through long-run production and has historically supplied Quality Oilfield Services, Stewart & Stevenson, Cameron Iron, Control Flow, and T3 Energy Services. All ram blocks manufactured by DCG from October 2008 through December 2017 were produced in accordance with API 16A 3rd Edition.
