Egyptian Petroleum HH Rig Manufacturing Company (EPHH) is an Egyptian-Chinese joint venture established in 2007, operating as the only API-certified rig manufacturer in Egypt and North Africa. Registered with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), EPHH specializes in the manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, and repair of oil well drilling rigs. The company operates a manufacturing facility in Ain Sokhna, Egypt, where it achieved the milestone of producing the first onshore drilling rig manufactured by Egyptian hands. In 2022, EPHH signed a contract for the local manufacturing of seven drilling rigs, completing three by 2023. The company also provides equipment manufacturing, local fabrications, spare parts supply, rig audits, calibration services, and inspection/recertification/rebranding services. EPHH serves major Egyptian petroleum companies including GUPCO, EDC, Norpetco, and Petrogulf Misr.
