Guangzhou Dongsu Petroleum D&E Equipment Co., Ltd (广州东塑石油钻采专用设备有限公司) is one of China's earliest and most established manufacturers of surface blowout preventer (BOP) control systems and well control equipment. Founded in the early 1980s and headquartered in Panyu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, the company has spent over 40 years developing, designing, and manufacturing surface BOP control units, high-pressure test units, choke manifold control panels, water-based hydraulic fluids, and 35MPa high-pressure pump and valve components. Dongsu has supplied more than 6,000 sets of BOP control systems to oil and gas drilling companies across China and internationally, with exports to the United States, Middle East, Central Asia, South America, Russia, Uganda, Oman, and other major oil-producing regions. The company holds over 300 precision machining equipment including five-axis machining centers, high-precision grinders, and CNC machining centers, and operates a modern 20,000 m² manufacturing and assembly facility. Dongsu obtained API Spec Q1 certification in 2004 and has maintained it continuously for over 21 years. In July 2024, the company further achieved API Spec Q2 certification. Additional certifications include API 16C, API 16D, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, CNAS laboratory accreditation, CCS, and BV inspection. In 2017, Dongsu established a dedicated Well Control Equipment Maintenance, Inspection, Testing, and Enhancement Services (MITES) Center, offering repair, recertification, upgrade, and training services. The company also pioneered China's first wireless remote-control BOP control system, successfully deployed at the Tarim Oilfield. Key customers include CNPC, Saudi Aramco, GE, BP, ONGC, Petrobras, Pertamina, and Rosneft.
