Guizhou Wire Rope Incorporated Company (贵州钢绳股份有限公司) is one of China's largest manufacturers of steel wire rope, PC strand, and steel wire, headquartered in Zunyi City, Guizhou Province. Founded in 1966 as part of China's Third Front construction initiative under the name '87 Factory' and later renamed Zunyi Metal Products Factory and Guizhou Wire Rope Factory, the company was restructured in 1999 and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (ticker: 600992) in 2004. The company holds API 9A certification and is also certified by CCS, LR, DNV, BV, GL, KR, ISO 9001, ISO 10012, and ISO 14001. Production capacity is 400,000 metric tons per year across its wire product lines. Manufacturing equipment was imported from Germany, Japan, and Italy, and the company markets its products under the 'JULONG' (巨龙) brand. The product portfolio includes petroleum wire rope (produced and tested to API 9A), bridge wire rope, mining wire rope, hoisting wire rope, elevator wire rope, ropeway wire rope, excavator wire rope, PC strand, spiral strand, slings, welding wire, bead wire, spring wire, and galvanized wire. Petroleum wire rope is widely used in oilfield applications including drilling lines, rod and tubing pull lines, horsehead pumping unit lines, torpedo lines, and winch lines for both land and offshore operations. Products have been deployed in major engineering projects including the Three Gorges Dam, Gezhouba hydroelectric project, port cranes at Tianjin and Shenzhen, and offshore marine oil drilling platforms. Exports reach the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Denmark, Netherlands, Singapore, and Middle East markets. The company employs approximately 4,100 people across its Zunyi operations.
