Holcim US

Holcim US is the U.S. division of Holcim Ltd, a Swiss global building materials company. In the United States, Holcim operates one of the broadest networks of API-certified oilwell cement manufacturing plants in the country, producing API Class A, G, and H well cements used in oil and gas well construction, primary cementing, squeeze cementing, and plug and abandonment operations. The company holds API Spec 10A Monogram and API Q1 Quality Management System certifications at multiple U.S. facilities, including its Theodore, Alabama plant (certified 2018) and its Joppa, Illinois facility, which supplies markets along the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers from Minneapolis to the Gulf of Mexico. The Midlothian, Texas plant — with annual capacity of approximately 2 million tons — serves the Texas and Oklahoma region. Holcim globally operates the largest network of API-licensed well cement plants, with 17 certified facilities across 14 countries. In June 2025, Holcim completed the spinoff of its North American building materials business as Amrize, a separately listed company (NYSE: AMRZ) headquartered in Chicago. The oilwell cement product line, marketed under the Holcim brand, covers Class G (HSR) and Class H (HSR) for a wide range of well depths and downhole temperature and pressure conditions. Oilfield cement represents a specialty segment within Holcim's broader cement and building materials portfolio.
