Horn Equipment Company, LLC is an API-licensed manufacturer, engineer, and service provider of blowout preventers, drill-through equipment, valves, chokes, and pressure control accessories for the oil and gas drilling industry. Founded in 1979 by Hoby and Anita Horn in Moore, Oklahoma, the company has grown from a modest 1,600 square-foot start to a 200,000 square-foot manufacturing and service facility. Horn Equipment designs and builds ram BOPs (Type HU single and double units), annular BOPs (Type HA), coiled tubing BOPs (Type CTHU), snubbing loops, hydraulic and manual gate valves, adjustable chokes, low-torque plug valves, check valves, choke and kill manifolds, drilling spools, adapter spools, spacer spools, studded blocks, flanges, and related connections. The company holds API 16A (drill-through equipment), API 16C (choke and kill equipment), API 6A (wellhead and tree equipment), and API Q1 quality management certification. In addition to manufacturing, Horn Equipment operates a full-service BOP shop, valve shop, machine shop, and weld shop for inspection, teardown, rebuild, testing, and assembly. Xylan fluoropolymer coating and standard or three-coat offshore paint services are also available. The company maintains a rental fleet of BOPs, spools, adapters, blocks, and rams.
