InflowControl AS

InflowControl AS is a Norwegian technology company founded in 2011 that develops and manufactures autonomous inflow control valves for horizontal well completions. The company invented the AICV (Autonomous Inflow Control Valve) in 2012, a self-regulating downhole valve that detects fluid viscosity and density differences to choke unwanted water and gas production by over 90% without electronics or surface control lines. InflowControl also offers the Gas AICV for gas reservoir applications and the AOCV (Autonomous Outflow Control Valve) for injection wells. Headquartered in Porsgrunn, Norway, the company operates offices in Abu Dhabi, Dhahran, Muscat, Stavanger, Aberdeen, Calgary, Houston, Bogota, and Kuala Lumpur. As of 2024, over 300 wells globally have deployed AICV technology across five continents. Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures made an equity investment in the company in 2013. InflowControl employs approximately 60-65 people and generated approximately 109M NOK in revenue in 2023.
