International Drilling Technology LLC (IDTEC) is an API-approved drilling rig maintenance, repair, and recertification workshop located in the Nizwa Industrial Area, Sultanate of Oman. Founded in 2005, IDTEC is a subsidiary of Bentec GmbH Drilling & Oilfield Systems (Bad Bentheim, Germany), part of the MB Holding Group (Mohammed Al Barwani Holding). IDTEC holds five API licenses (4F, 6A, 7K, 8C, Q1), supporting full-scope manufacturing and recertification of drilling rigs, rig masts and substructures, wellhead and tree equipment, drilling and well servicing equipment, and drilling and production hoisting equipment (PSL 1 and PSL 2). The company engineers, designs, manufactures, assembles, and rigs up complete customized Bentec drilling rigs — including Euro, Desert, and Arctic rig packages with drawworks capacities up to 3,000 HP — alongside mechanical drilling equipment (top drives, drawworks, drive systems, mud pumps, mud treatment equipment) and electrical drilling systems (VFD, SCR systems, power control rooms, Bentec infoDRILL data management). IDTEC supports site service, onshore repair, and recertification for oilfield drilling rigs operating across Oman and the broader Middle East.
