JFE Steel Corporation West Japan Works (Kurashiki)

JFE Steel Corporation West Japan Works (Kurashiki District) is the company's integrated steelworks located in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture, Japan. The Kurashiki works specializes in heavy steel plate production for offshore structures, including API 2H carbon-manganese steel plate (2H-0001) and API 2W TMCP (thermo-mechanically controlled processed) steel plate (2W-0001) for offshore platforms, FPSO hulls, and floating wind turbine monopiles. Home to JFE Steel's No. 7 continuous caster, which produces the largest and heaviest steel plate slabs in the group. The J-TerraPlate large and heavy steel plate from Kurashiki was selected for the wind industry. Part of JFE Steel's West Japan Works along with the Fukuyama district.
