ONIS Line Blind

ONIS Line Blind is a French-origin manufacturer specializing in mechanical positive isolation solutions for industrial piping systems. Founded in 1979 by Edmond Onis in Berre l'Etang, France, the company developed the first quick-action line blind for the petrochemical industry. ONIS designs and manufactures patented devices that allow a single operator to safely open, blank, and reconnect flanged pipe connections in minutes without tools — replacing traditional spectacle blinds, figure-8 blinds, and paddle spacers. The core product line includes the Quick Action Line Blind (QLB), Quick Filter Changer (QFC), Quick Rupture Disc Changer (QDC), and Double Block Bleed & Blind (D3B). Products cover sizes from 1 inch to 52 inches, pressures up to 420 bar, and temperatures from -120°C to +650°C. With over 12,000 devices installed across 60 countries and 450+ plants, ONIS serves mid- and downstream petrochemical, chemical, gas transmission, pharmaceutical, food, power generation, and mining industries. The US subsidiary, Onis Inc, operates from Stafford, Texas, with additional offices in Abu Dhabi, China, Brazil, Germany, and Malaysia.
