PETOL Gearench

PETOL Gearench is a legacy oilfield tool manufacturer founded in Houston, Texas in 1927 by J.A. Peterson and C.E. 'Pat' Olsen as Gearench Manufacturing Company. The company produces over 40 product lines of hand tools, wrenches, tongs, elevators, and breakout equipment used globally in oil and gas drilling and production, refineries, pipeline construction, mining, power generation, water well drilling, and trenchless technology. In 1978, Chester Posey purchased the company and relocated primary operations to Clifton, Texas, where PETOL now operates from an 87,000+ sq ft production facility. The company has been ISO 9001 certified since 1995 and became an API Spec 8C licensed manufacturer in 2004. PETOL expanded into custom gearing markets in 2014 using state-of-the-art equipment, serving energy, food processing, polymer production, recycling, and aerospace industries. Key product lines include chain tongs, friction tongs, rig wrenches, sucker rod wrenches, elevators, flange tools, valve wheel wrenches, breakout units, pump shop equipment, tank safety gauges, and custom gearing.
