Phuel Oil Tools Limited designs, manufactures, and supplies wireline pressure control equipment (PCE) for the offshore oil and gas industry. Founded in 2005 in Aberdeen, Scotland, the company builds modular wireline blowout preventers (BOPs), control units, deployment systems, downhole tools, and support products at its workshop facility. In 2011, Phuel became the first company to achieve API 16A certification for its BOP equipment. The company operates from two locations: its headquarters in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen, serving the UK Continental Shelf, and a US facility in Broussard, Louisiana, covering the Gulf of Mexico. In May 2023, Phuel merged with Dwellop AS of Norway, forming the Dwellop Group alongside Robust Rental AS. Phuel employs approximately 17 people and generates estimated annual revenue of $5-10 million.
