PMC Lone Star is a brand of PMC Companies, the largest gage manufacturer globally, with roots tracing back to the founding of The Pipe Machinery Company in 1912. PMC Lone Star specializes in manufacturing API-certified master and working thread plug and ring gages for the oil and gas industry. Their products serve coupling shops, pipe and tube mills worldwide, covering API Spec 5B (threading, gauging, and thread inspection of casing and tubing), API Spec 7-2 (rotary shouldered connections), and API Spec 11B (sucker rod gages). All gages are made of tool steel hardened to Rockwell C 60-62, cryogenically frozen for stability, and inspected to tolerances of plus or minus 0.0002 inches. PMC Lone Star maintains the most complete source of Master Gages outside of N.I.S.T. and offers re-calibration services from their A2LA-accredited (ISO/IEC 17025:2017) laboratory in Willoughby, Ohio.
