Shijiazhuang Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of HBIS Group (河钢集团), one of China's top three steel producers with annual revenue exceeding 402 billion yuan. The company operates as the Special Steel Branch of HBIS, focusing on specialty steel production using electric arc furnace (EAF) technology at its facility in the Jingjing Mining Area of Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province. With a nominal capacity of 2,000 thousand tonnes per annum, the operation produces special steel products including bearing steel, gear steel, spring steel, structural steel, and high-quality carbon steel for the automotive, energy, and heavy industry sectors. The original main plant in Shijiazhuang's urban center was relocated and modernized, with the new facility completing in 2020. Products serve the oil and gas industry through pipeline steel, heavy plates for drilling platforms, and specialty alloys for downhole and processing equipment.
