Incorporated in 1947 and originally established in Barnsley in 1881 by the Frank family as iron founders and mould makers, the company now specializes in fire protection, water transfer, and fluid control products for the oil and gas, petrochemical, defence, construction, and marine sectors. Walter Frank produces components in gunmetal, nickel aluminium bronze, light alloy, and other corrosion-resistant materials to British, American, and international standards. Walter Frank has been part of the Westley Group since 2005, a multi-site foundry and machining group with approximately 270 employees across four operating companies. Manufacturing is vertically integrated, covering casting, spectrographic analysis, machining, assembly, pressure testing, and flow calibration in-house.
