Western India Forgings Pvt. Ltd. (WIF) is an API 20B, API 20C, and API Spec Q1 certified forge shop located in India, offering open die forgings, closed die forgings, and ring-rolled forgings under one roof. The company produces components ranging from 1 kg to 10,000 kg (10 metric tons), serving customers across oil and gas, railways, construction and mining, gear and transmission, automotive, and power sectors worldwide. Open die forging capability uses open die hammers and a 1,600-ton hydraulic ZDAS press for products from 35 kg to 10 tons including shafts, large gears, blocks, and hollow forgings. Closed die forging uses a variety of hammers ranging from 1 ton to 16 tons, enabling production of components up to 750 kg. Ring rolling is performed on three vertical and one horizontal ring mills producing rings from 350 mm OD to 3,000 mm OD weighing 15 kg to 3,200 kg. WIF employs an in-house design shop with simulation tools achieving 85% first-time-right rate. The company holds ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001:2007, ABS approval (marine), PED certification, and API Q1, 20B, and 20C.
