Westfaelische Drahtindustrie GmbH (WDI) is Europe's largest independent wire producer, headquartered in Hamm, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Founded in 1856 at its current location, the family-owned company has been managed by Managing Director Katja Pampus since 2009. WDI manufactures wire and finished products at 15 locations across Europe with approximately 1,300 employees and an estimated annual revenue of around 600 million euros. The company holds API 9A certification for wire rope products used in oilfield drilling and lifting operations.
