Manual Rotary Drill Collar Slips
Hand-set hinged slips lowered into the master bushing bowl to grip the collar OD during tripping. Used where collar weight and trip frequency permit safe manual handling by the crew.
Drill Collar Slip Inserts and Dies
Replaceable toothed gripping elements that seat in the slip body and contact the collar surface. Available in coarse, medium, and fine tooth patterns matched to collar OD and surface condition.
Extended-Range / Long Slips
Slips with additional die rows and greater contact length to spread gripping load over a larger area, reducing crushing risk on heavy bottomhole assemblies and large-diameter collars.
Power Slips (Pneumatic / Hydraulic)
Rotary-table-mounted slips actuated by air or hydraulic cylinders that set and release on command, reducing manual handling of heavy collars on offshore floaters and high-trip-rate operations.
Master Bushings and Bowls
The tapered seat in the rotary table that receives the slip body and transmits load to the table. Pin-drive and square-drive bushings are sized to the matching slip taper and collar range.
Drill Collar Safety Clamps
Bolted clamps fitted below the slips or tool joint to provide a positive mechanical stop preventing the collar from slipping through, used as a backup when handling smooth-OD collars.
Slip Sizing Rings and OD Adapters
Bowl reducers and adapter rings that allow one master bushing to accept slips for several collar outside diameters, extending the working range of a single rotary setup.
