Drill Pipe Elevators

Center-latch or side-door elevators sized to grip a specific drill pipe OD, supporting the string on the tool joint or pipe upset during tripping. They are the most common elevator on a land rig floor.

Side-Door Elevators

Elevators with a single hinged door on one side that swings open for the pipe to enter, used primarily for drill pipe and smaller-diameter tubulars where the load bears on a shoulder.

Center-Latch Elevators

Elevators that split into two halves at the bore centerline and latch at the front, allowing a larger throat opening for heavier tubulars and faster make-and-break handling.

Casing Elevators

Heavy-capacity elevators built to run casing strings, available in slip-type designs that grip on the casing body and squeeze-to-release designs for flush or non-upset casing.

Tubing Elevators

Smaller, lighter elevators used in workover and completion operations to run and pull production tubing, latching on the tubing collar or upset.

Slip-Type Elevators

Elevators incorporating internal slips that grip the outside diameter of the pipe body rather than a shoulder, used for flush-joint or non-upset tubulars where no shoulder is available.

Single-Joint Elevators

Lighter elevators used to lift one joint of pipe or casing at a time from the catwalk or pipe rack to the rig floor, rather than supporting the full hanging string.

Elevator Links (Bails)

Forged steel links that connect the elevator to the hook or top drive elevator ears, transferring the suspended load. They are sold in matched pairs and rated to the same load class as the elevator.
