Safety Clamps

Heavy hinged clamps sized to grip the large smooth outside diameter of drill collars, which cannot be reliably held by standard slips. They prevent the collar string from dropping while connections are made or broken at the rotary table.

The common bolt-together design built up from interlocking segments and a handle, tightened by torquing the through-bolts. Segments are added or removed to match pipe outside diameter across a working range.

Lighter-duty hinged clamps for smaller-diameter tubing, washpipe, and tools, covering a range of pipe sizes with interchangeable jaw segments. Used in well-servicing and tubing-handling work.

Hardened, toothed gripping elements that seat in the clamp jaws and bite the pipe surface. They are consumable wear items replaced as the teeth dull to maintain holding capacity.

Clamps configured for the tool-joint or body diameter of drill pipe and production tubing, providing a positive stop above the rotary table during running and pulling.

Add-on body segments, hinge pins, bolts, and handles that extend or reconfigure a clamp to a different pipe size. They allow one clamp assembly to serve several diameters.
