Fixed Gas Detectors

Point detectors that sense flammable gases by catalytic oxidation on a heated bead, measuring concentration as a percentage of the lower explosive limit (% LEL). Widely used for methane and general hydrocarbon leak detection where oxygen is present.

Detectors that measure hydrocarbon gas by absorption of infrared light in a sample cell, with no catalyst to poison and fail-to-safe operation. Suited to methane and combustible vapor monitoring in inert or low-oxygen process areas.

Line-of-sight detectors that project an IR beam across an open distance to a receiver or retroreflector, integrating gas concentration over the path. Used to cover perimeters, pipe racks, and large open areas in a single measurement.

Point detectors using a chemical cell that generates current proportional to a target gas, commonly for H2S, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, or oxygen deficiency. Reported in parts per million (ppm) for toxic exposure thresholds.

Fixed field transmitters paired with central controllers that power sensors, scale the signal, manage alarm relays, and interface to control systems. They provide the 4-20 mA, HART, Modbus, or relay outputs that link detection to facility shutdown logic.

Systems that actively pull gas samples through tubing from one or many remote points to a centralized analyzer or sensor. Applied where direct sensor placement is impractical, such as enclosed cabinets, ducts, or hard-to-access process points.

Continuous instruments that measure specific gas composition or trace contaminants in a process stream for quality, emissions, or efficiency control. Used on flare lines, fuel gas, and treating units rather than for area leak alarming alone.
