Demulsifiers and Non-Emulsifiers
Surface-active formulations that break stable water-in-oil emulsions so produced oil and water separate cleanly in treaters and separators, reducing basic-sediment-and-water (BS&W) to pipeline specification. Non-emulsifiers prevent emulsions from forming during stimulation flowback and are validated by bottle testing against the specific crude.
Corrosion Inhibitors
Film-forming amines, imidazolines, and phosphate esters that adsorb onto metal surfaces to slow CO2 (sweet) and H2S (sour) corrosion in tubing, flowlines, and pipelines. Dosing and persistency are confirmed through bubble-test, wheel-test, and rotating-cage corrosion screening.
Scale Inhibitors
Phosphonate and polymer chemistries that prevent precipitation and deposition of mineral scales such as calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, and barium sulfate in produced-water systems. They are applied continuously or by squeeze treatment into the near-wellbore formation for extended return.
Biocides and Microbial Inhibitors
Oxidizing and non-oxidizing antimicrobials (for example glutaraldehyde, THPS, and quaternary amines) that control sulfate-reducing bacteria and other microbes responsible for microbiologically influenced corrosion and reservoir souring. Efficacy is verified by serial-dilution and time-kill bacterial testing.
Flow Assurance Chemicals (Paraffin, Asphaltene, Hydrate)
Paraffin inhibitors and dispersants, asphaltene stabilizers, and gas-hydrate inhibitors (thermodynamic methanol/MEG or low-dosage kinetic and anti-agglomerant types) that keep solids and hydrate plugs from restricting flow in cold, high-pressure subsea and deepwater systems.
Water Treatment Chemicals
Water clarifiers, reverse-emulsion breakers, coagulants, flocculants, oxygen scavengers, and defoamers that condition produced water and injection water for discharge or reinjection, reducing oil-in-water and suspended solids to meet disposal and waterflood specifications.
Solvents and Acid Treatments
Aromatic solvents, microemulsion and mutual-solvent blends, and inhibited acid solutions (such as hydrochloric and acetic acid systems) used to dissolve organic deposits, clean wellbores, and remediate near-wellbore damage during well intervention.
Fuel and Equipment Fluids (Lubricants, Fuel Additives, DEF)
Lubricants, rust preventatives, fuel additives, and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) supplied to support field engines, pumps, and rigs. Although adjacent to well-treatment chemistry, these are commonly distributed alongside production chemicals by the same suppliers.
