H2S Scrubbers

Vertical vessels in which sour gas bubbles up through a non-regenerable liquid scavenger (commonly triazine-based) that chemically reacts with and removes H2S. Used for low-to-moderate H2S loads at wellsites and gathering points.

Fixed-bed vessels packed with solid media such as iron sponge (hydrated iron oxide) or proprietary adsorbents that react with H2S to form iron sulfide. Suited to intermittent or low-flow sour-gas streams where spent media is periodically changed out.

Regenerable absorption systems that contact gas with an amine solvent (such as MEA, MDEA, or DEA) to remove H2S and often CO2, with the rich solvent stripped and recycled. Used where acid-gas loads are too high for once-through scavengers.

Counter-current columns using bubble-cap or sieve trays to maximize gas-liquid contact between sour gas and scavenger or solvent. Provide higher removal efficiency and turndown than simple bubble towers.

Pre-engineered, modular H2S removal skids combining the contact vessel, instrumentation, and chemical injection for rapid field deployment. Common for temporary, flowback, and remote wellsite duty.

In-line systems that inject liquid H2S scavenger directly into a flow line or pipeline rather than using a discrete contact tower, providing reaction contact time within the piping. Used where space or flow is limited.

Wet scrubbers that contact gas with an alkaline solution (such as sodium hydroxide) to neutralize and absorb H2S into the liquid phase. Applied for tail-gas, vent, and lower-pressure sour streams.
