Pistons & Rods

Replaceable piston assemblies for triplex and duplex mud (drilling-fluid) pumps, consisting of a metal hub carrying an elastomer sealing element that runs against the pump liner. Sized by bore diameter to match the pump model and liner.

Pistons in which the elastomer sealing lip is chemically bonded to the metal hub rather than mechanically retained, improving element retention under high pressure and abrasive service.

Pistons using upgraded elastomer compounds—such as urethane or hi-temp rubber blends—selected for elevated mud temperatures or highly abrasive solids to extend run life over standard nitrile elements.

Solid one-piece rods that reciprocate through stationary packing in plunger-style fluid ends, commonly used on high-pressure well-service, frac, and chemical-injection pumps. Often supplied with ceramic or tungsten-carbide coatings for wear resistance.

Power-end components that connect the crankshaft to the crosshead, converting crankshaft rotation into linear reciprocating motion. Carry the full pumping load and incorporate big-end and wrist-pin bearing surfaces.

Short rods that couple the crosshead extension rod to the piston or plunger, transmitting stroke from the power end to the fluid end and providing a replaceable wear interface at the stuffing box.

Rods that join the piston to the crosshead assembly within the pump, transferring axial load through the cylinder; supplied in materials and surface finishes matched to the sealing element and fluid.
