Vertical Sand Silos
Tall gravity-fed steel silos that store large volumes of proppant and discharge from the bottom into conveyors or blenders. They offer high capacity in a small ground footprint but require crane setup and level pad preparation.
Field Bins (Sand Kings / Pyramid Bins)
Mobile, gravity-discharge bins that drop onto the pad and feed sand through bottom gates to a transfer conveyor. They offer fast rig-up and moderate per-unit capacity, with multiple bins arranged in a row to build total inventory.
Containerized Sand Systems
Modular systems using sealed boxes or bins pre-loaded with sand at the mine or transload, trucked to location, and stacked into a delivery frame that meters sand through gates onto a conveyor. They reduce dust by keeping proppant enclosed from mine to blender.
Containerized Storage Systems
Modular sealed boxes or sand containers that are filled at a transload, trucked to location, and discharged through gates onto a conveyor. The enclosed design limits dust and spillage and supports a no-staging, last-mile delivery model.
Horizontal/Mobile Sand Storage
Trailer-mounted or skid-mounted horizontal bins that store proppant at grade and are repositioned without cranes. They suit pads with limited overhead clearance or frequent moves.
Off-Loading and Transfer Conveyors
Belt or T-belt conveyors that move proppant from silos, bins, or boxes to the blender hopper at a metered rate. Conveyor speed and gate position together control proppant delivery to match the treatment design.
Transload Storage
Larger fixed or semi-permanent silos and bins at rail-served transload facilities where unit-train sand is offloaded, stored, and metered into trucks. They buffer rail deliveries against trucking and wellsite demand.
Mobile and Mine-to-Wellsite Systems
Trailer-mounted, self-erecting storage and conveyance packages built for rapid relocation between pads. They integrate storage, metering, and conveying into a transportable unit to minimize crane and rig-up time.
Dust Collection & Containment Systems
Baghouse or cartridge filtration units, shrouds, and skirts integrated with storage and transfer points to capture respirable silica dust. They are required to keep operations within OSHA silica exposure limits.
Dust-Control Equipment
Engineered enclosures, dust collectors, vacuum/bag-house systems, and water- or fog-based suppression integrated at transfer points to capture respirable silica. These controls support compliance with OSHA's respirable crystalline silica permissible exposure limit.
Sand Conveyors & Loadout Equipment
Belt or screw conveyors, metering gates, and surge hoppers that move proppant from storage to the blender at controlled rates. Loadout equipment also fills storage units from trucks or rail at transload sites.
Cement and Mineral Silos
Bulk silos configured to store cement, gel, or other dry minerals for cementing and blending operations rather than proppant. They share gravity-discharge and pneumatic or auger transfer designs with sand silos but handle finer, more cohesive material.
ISO Container Sand Boxes
Standardized intermodal-style sand containers with corner castings for stacking, lifting, and over-the-road transport. They allow proppant to be handled as a sealed unit across rail, truck, and wellsite.
Inventory Management and Metering Controls
Load cells, level sensors, gate actuators, and control panels that track on-site proppant volume and regulate feed rate to the blender. These systems provide real-time inventory data for sand logistics and just-in-time resupply.
