Bentec GmbH Drilling & Oilfield Systems is a world-leading OEM for onshore and offshore drilling rigs, drilling equipment, and digital solutions headquartered in Bad Bentheim, Germany. With a heritage spanning over 140 years originating from the Heinrich Lapp drilling company (founded 1888) and later DEUTAG, Bentec was formally established in 1994 from DEUTAG's equipment and maintenance operations. The company designs, engineers, manufactures, and services complete drilling rigs, top drives, iron roughnecks, drawworks, mud pumps, BOP closing units, traveling blocks, hydraulic catwalks, rig walking systems, and integrated rig control systems including the SYNAPSE automation platform. Bentec holds API monogram licenses for Spec 16A (drill-through equipment), 16D (well control systems), 4F (drilling structures), 6A (wellhead equipment), 7-1 (rotary drill stem elements), 7-2 (rotary shouldered connections), 7K (drilling and well servicing equipment), and 8C (hoisting equipment).
