Baoji Oilfield Machinery Co., Ltd. (BOMCO, 宝鸡石油机械有限责任公司), operating as CNPC BOMCO Drilling & Production Equipment Co., Ltd., is China's largest and most comprehensive oil and gas equipment manufacturer. A 100% wholly-owned subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), BOMCO was founded in 1937 as Baoji Oilfield Machinery Plant and was incorporated into the petroleum industry in 1953, reforming into a limited liability company in 2002. Headquartered in Baoji, Shaanxi Province, BOMCO manufactures nine categories of onshore drilling rigs (from 1,000 to 12,000 meters), polar drilling rigs, offshore drilling packages, F-series mud pumps (500–3,000 HP), well control and wellhead equipment, special vehicles, steel pipe, wire-line, large roller bits, and power control systems. BOMCO products span more than 1,000 types in 50+ categories, with 50 types in 12 categories carrying the API monogram. The company employs 8,170 people, owns 2,300+ machines, covers 250 hectares with 797,700 m² floor area, and reports total assets of 9.796 billion RMB and annual sales exceeding 6 billion RMB. BOMCO products are sold in 58 countries across the Middle East, Americas, Africa, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Europe, and Oceania. BOMCO holds the most API certificates of any Chinese petroleum equipment manufacturer and was the first Chinese company to receive API monogram certification in 1982.
