Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL) is an Indian manufacturer of centrifugal pumps, valves, and hydro turbines, founded in 1888 and incorporated in 1920. The company is the flagship of the Kirloskar Group and operates as India's largest centrifugal pump manufacturer. KBL produces pumps ranging from 0.1 kW to 26 MW with flow rates up to 35,000 liters per second. The product line includes end-suction, split-case, multi-stage, vertical turbine, submersible, firefighting, and nuclear pumps, along with butterfly, gate, check, globe, and ball valves. KBL serves oil and gas, power generation, water resource management, marine and defense, irrigation, and process industries across 130 countries. Manufacturing takes place at seven facilities in India, including the 150-acre Kirloskarvadi plant established in 1910, plus international plants through subsidiaries SPP Pumps (UK), Rodelta (Netherlands), and operations in the USA, South Africa, Thailand, and Egypt. The company holds ASME N/NPT stamps for nuclear applications and manufactures API 610 pumps through its joint venture with Ebara of Japan. KBL employs approximately 2,500 people and reported revenue of INR 4,560 Crore (approximately USD 540 million) for FY2025.
