Vallourec Star is the North American seamless steel tube and OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) operation of French tubular giant Vallourec SA. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, with its main steel and pipe-making production facility in Youngstown, Ohio, Vallourec Star is a fully integrated, 100% Made in America seamless tube supplier serving the energy and industrial sectors. The company operates an electric arc furnace (EAF) steel mill in Youngstown alongside pipe rolling, heat treatment, inspection, finishing, API threading, and semi-premium/premium threading lines. Additional mass production facilities in Houston, TX (Sheldon Road) and Muskogee, OK provide heat treatment, straightening, hot sizing, hydrostatic pressure testing, premium threading services, and 8D collapse testing for high-yield strength OCTG and coupling stock. Vallourec is North America's leading producer of seamless tubular, line pipe, and coupling stock for oil and gas markets, offering casing, tubing, line pipe and VAM premium connections. The North American operations employ approximately 2,000 people across OCTG, Line & Standard Pipe, VAM USA (premium connections), and Vallourec Tube-Alloy (downhole accessories) business units. Vallourec's pipes are made completely from scrap metal, positioning the company as a sustainability leader through steel recycling. Historically known as V&M Star after Vallourec's 2002 acquisition of North Star Steel, the operation rebranded to Vallourec in 2012 following completion of the new FQM (Fine Quality Mill) in Youngstown.
