Weir Oil & Gas, now operating as SPM Oil & Gas under Caterpillar Inc. ownership, manufactures pressure pumping, pressure control, and flow control equipment for upstream oil and gas operations. The product portfolio spans frac pumps (SPM QEM 3000, QEM 5000, EXL), wellheads and frac trees (Seaboard), gate valves (KOP), flow iron and hammer unions (Kemper), pump expendables (Novatech, EdgeX), and electric-actuated chokes. The SPM QEM 3000 continuous duty frac pump holds the highest rod load rating in its class at 275,000 lbs, and the QEM 5000 is the first 5,000-hp pump designed for electric and gas turbine drive. API 6A and API Q1 certified, the company operates 40-plus service centers globally from its Fort Worth, Texas headquarters with approximately 2,000 employees.
