Side Pocket Mandrels (SPM)
Mandrels with an eccentric pocket set beside the main tubing bore that holds a wireline-retrievable valve while keeping the production passage fully open. They are the standard configuration for wireline-serviceable gas lift.
Orienting Side Pocket Mandrels
Side pocket mandrels fitted with an internal orienting profile or sleeve that rotates and aligns the kickover tool so the valve enters the pocket reliably in deviated or horizontal wells.
Non-Orienting Side Pocket Mandrels
Side pocket mandrels without an internal orienting feature, relying on tubing geometry or a separate orienting sub for tool alignment, typically used in vertical or low-deviation wells.
Conventional (Tubing-Retrievable) Mandrels
Mandrels that carry the gas lift valve externally on the mandrel body, requiring the tubing to be pulled to change the valve; offered for comparison and for wells where wireline service is not planned.
Dual / Multiple Pocket Mandrels
Mandrels machined with two or more side pockets at one depth, allowing more than one valve or a valve plus a chemical-injection or instrument device to be installed at a single station.
Kickover Tools and Running/Pulling Tools
Wireline service tools that deflect a latch off the mandrel pocket centerline to install or retrieve the valve, matched to the mandrel pocket bore size (typically 1-inch or 1.5-inch).
Pocket Discrimination / Selective Mandrels
Side pocket mandrels with differing pocket bore sizes or selective profiles so that a given valve and kickover tool can only seat in the intended mandrel along the string.
