Pneumatic Actuators
Air- or gas-powered units that use supply pressure acting on a piston or diaphragm to stroke a valve, available in double-acting and spring-return configurations. They are the most common automated actuator for on/off and modulating process and pipeline valves.
Hydraulic Actuators
Units driven by pressurized hydraulic fluid acting on a cylinder or rotary vane to develop high output thrust or torque in a compact envelope. They are used where large valves, high seating loads, or precise control are required.
Electric Actuators
Motor-driven units in which an electric motor and gear train produce valve motion, with integral controls, position feedback, and torque limiting. They suit sites with electrical power and no convenient air or hydraulic supply, including modulating service.
Gas-Over-Oil Actuators
Hydraulic actuators in which pipeline gas pressurizes a hydraulic reservoir to stroke the valve, combining hydraulic precision with a self-contained gas energy source. They are widely used on remote pipeline block valves where no external power is available.
Electro-Hydraulic Actuators
Self-contained units pairing an electric motor and hydraulic power pack so an electrical signal produces hydraulic actuation, including fail-safe and ESD versions. They deliver high hydraulic force while requiring only an electrical connection.
Quarter-Turn Actuators
Rotary actuators that stroke 90 degrees to operate ball, butterfly, and plug valves, using rack-and-pinion, scotch-yoke, or vane mechanisms. Output torque and mounting follow ISO 5211 interface dimensions.
Multi-Turn and Gear Actuators
Units that produce multiple output rotations to drive rising-stem gate and globe valves, including motorized multi-turn drives and manual gearbox operators such as bevel and spur gearboxes. Mounting and drive interfaces follow ISO 5210.
Linear / Cylinder Actuators
Actuators that deliver straight-line thrust to operate sliding-stem control, gate, and choke valves, typically built around a pneumatic or hydraulic cylinder. They are matched to the valve by required stem thrust and stroke length.
