Well Testing Equipment

Integrated skid- or trailer-mounted spreads combining choke manifold, separator, heat exchanger, and metering to flow and evaluate a well at surface during exploration, appraisal, or flowback. Often supplied as modular ANSI/API-rated systems rated to the well's maximum surface pressure.

Two- or three-phase pressure vessels that separate produced oil, gas, and water so each phase can be metered individually during a well test. Built as horizontal or vertical ASME Section VIII vessels with internals sized for the expected gas-oil ratio and liquid handling capacity.

Inline meters that measure oil, gas, and water rates of a flowing stream without prior separation, typically using a combination of Venturi differential pressure and gamma or microwave fraction sensing. Used for flare-less testing, production allocation, and continuous well monitoring.

High-pressure manifold assemblies with adjustable and fixed chokes that control flow rate and drawdown and route fluids between wellhead, separator, and disposal lines. Manifolds and multiport selector valves allow sequential testing of multiple wells through a single test train.

Downhole tool strings run on drill pipe or tubing that isolate a zone with packers and use downhole valves to flow and shut in the formation while recording pressure buildup. DST provides early reservoir productivity and fluid data before a well is completed.

Memory or surface-readout quartz and strain gauges that record bottom-hole pressure and temperature during flow and buildup periods. Used for transient analysis, drawdown control, and verifying reservoir behavior during the test.

Wireline or drillpipe-conveyed tools that take discrete pressure measurements and capture representative formation-fluid samples for PVT and contamination analysis. Downhole fluid analysis modules characterize fluid composition in situ before sampling.

Desanders, sand filters, cyclonic separators, and plug-catchers that protect the test train from produced solids during post-frac drillout and flowback. Sized for the high solids loading and erosional flow seen in early frac cleanup.
