Huangshan Huaneng Petrochemical Machinery Co., Ltd. (黄山华能石化机械有限公司), formerly known as Jiangsu Yangzhou Petrochemical Machinery Factory, a state-owned enterprise founded in 1974 under China's Ministry of Petroleum and designated as a dedicated manufacturer of drilling and workover tools. In September 1973 the company successfully developed the first drill pipe elevator and achieved full adoption across Chinese oil fields. Following enterprise restructuring in 2006, the company was renamed Yangzhou Huaneng Petrochemical Machinery Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as 'Yangshi Machinery'). As market demand expanded, a drilling and workover pipe string automation equipment R&D program was launched in 2015, and the automated setback/fingerboard system was commercially deployed in 2017. The production base was subsequently relocated to Huangshan, Anhui Province, and the company was officially renamed in 2020 with registered capital of RMB 50 million. The company holds API Q1 management system certification and API product monogram licenses for 4F (drilling structures), 7K (drilling equipment), and 8C (choke and kill equipment). It is also certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001 environmental management, ISO 45001 occupational health and safety, and ISO 20000 service management. Additional recognitions include National High-Tech Enterprise (2021 and 2024), Anhui Province Specialized and Innovative SME (2023), and China Mechanical Industry Science and Technology Award (2023). The company holds over 70 domestic and international invention and utility model patents and 3 nationally leading scientific and technological achievements. Primary customers are PetroChina and Sinopec subsidiary oil fields in Northeast China, Jiangsu, Hunan, Henan, Sichuan, and Xinjiang. The supply chain spans Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Henan, and Shanghai.
