JSW Steel Limited is India's largest steel manufacturer by installed capacity, operating as the flagship business of the JSW Group. Founded in 1982 with its first plant at Vasind near Mumbai, the company has grown to a consolidated crude steel capacity of 35.7 MTPA across 15 manufacturing locations in India and one facility in Texas, USA. JSW Steel produces a comprehensive range of flat and long steel products including hot rolled coils and plates, cold rolled sheets, galvanized and galvalume coated steel, color coated products, TMT bars, wire rods, special alloy steel, and grinding media. The company supplies steel for oil and gas applications including API X70 grade line pipe steel, pressure vessel plates, and structural steel for energy infrastructure. JSW Steel maintains a strategic technology collaboration with JFE Steel Corporation of Japan and targets 43.5 MTPA capacity by FY27. The Vijayanagar plant in Karnataka is India's largest single-location integrated steel facility at 17.5 MTPA.
